5 Ludhiana students selected for national baseball championship

Five students of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Gill have done their school and district proud as they have been selected in the baseball team for the Sub-Junior National Baseball Championship.
The 31st Sub-Junior National Baseball Championship will be held from May 24 to May 29 at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The students are Harshdeep Kaur, Gursimar Kaur, Rupa Kumari, Aditi Chaudhary and Shanu Kumari.
These promising players from the school first performed brilliantly at the district-level competition, winning a gold medal. They were then selected for the state-level competition, where they won a gold medal again.
Based on their outstanding performance, the players have now been selected for the 31st Sub-Junior National Baseball Championship.
An atmosphere of joy was seen at the school as teachers, coaches and parents congratulated the players and wished them a bright future.
The team will leave on Thursday. Principal Dr Smriti Bhargav and Lecturer of Physical Education Neeru extended their best wishes to all the selected players from Punjab for the competition.
