Batters aren’t able to read Bhuvneshwar as he bowls with wobbly seam: Tendulkar

The cricket geek in legendary Sachin Tendulkar is impressed by veteran seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s strategy of bowling “straight lines with a wobbly seam” which has confused the best in the business no end during this year’s Indian Premier League.
The 36-year-old Bhuvneshwar, who last played for India in 2022, is now second in the highest wicket-takers’ list for the season with 26 scalps ahead of the final against Gujarat Titans. The wily Meerut man has troubled the best youngsters in the business apart from keeping seasoned customers quiet in RCB’s journey to the finals.
“Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been really bowling well this season. Previous seasons, he would bowl a big outswinger, followed by a big inswinger. May be it was his conscious decision. But this season he has been bowling as straight as possible,” Tendulkar provided his observation on ‘X’.
Tendulkar also analysed that batters aren’t able to read his wrist position and trying to react to deliveries off the surface which has been their undoing.
“Bhuvi is bowling with wobbly seam and on landing batters are confused which way the ball would move. He has been very accurate. Lines have been very tight on off-stump or at the max, on fourth off-stump. He is bowling straight from that channel and the ball is wobbly. The batter isn’t getting any signal from the wrist. That has created confusion,” he added.
